Vrste del in plačilo

“I travelled through both the North and South Islands of New Zealand. I spent one month in Napier and then worked for approximately 2 1/2 months in Mt. Manganui. I visited White Island, did the Tongariro crossing, went to almost all of the larger towns and cities, saw many beautiful beaches, and also travelled through the jungle in Northland. I also went to the national parks. The natural landscapes of New Zealand are amazing - above all the beaches, which are almost empty of people and untouched. I met a lot of people from very different countries and now I can speak pretty good English!”

“This was an unforgettable experience that I would repeat any time. New Zealand is simply a wonderful dream, even if just like any other country it does have its downsides. I really liked the combination of work and travel. This meant that I got to know the country as a holidaymaker and yet also became a part of the "Kiwis" and their culture. The openness and helpfulness of the "Kiwis" impressed me most. Other people should learn from their pleasant ways!”
Janine Kiefert (July 2006 – January 2007)
"I saw just about everything during my 10 months in New Zealand. I especially liked Northland, where I spent 2 months with host families. A day trip on the Franz-Josef glacier was fascinating, as well as a day of white water rafting on the Kawerau River. I can only recommend that everyone else do the same!
As far as work was concerned, I mainly did seasonal work. I generally had good experiences with employers and colleagues. I usually worked around 8 hours a day and did jobs such as fruit picking, leaf plugging, or grading. I really enjoyed my stay in New Zealand, even if I had moments where my problems seemed impossible to overcome. But I had far more moments when I didn’t want to be anywhere else in the world, such as watching the sun come up on East Cape, or looking out on Milford Sound.
I made so many friends from all over the world, who I wouldn’t want to be without!”

“My stay there was simply fantastic! I really liked the combination of work and travel, because I got to know the country as a holidaymaker and was simultaneously living amongst the "Kiwis" (as New Zealand’s people are fondly nicknamed) and integrated into their culture”.
Janine worked twice for longer periods, as well as travelling many kilometres. Her first job was a classic job for Working Holidaymakers in New Zealand; packing kiwis!
”I stood at a counting table and inspected kiwis for signs of decay or other deficiencies. I sorted out the bad ones and packed the rest.” Janine’s second job was room service in a hotel in Queenstown, on South Island, New Zealand. “I cleaned hotel rooms and made them inhabitable for new guests. I had very nice, open and helpful colleagues in both jobs, who made it enjoyable, even if the job itself wasn’t always pleasant or interesting. My stay in New Zealand was an unforgettable experience which I would do all over again if I had the chance!
